Clad in the universal
band uniforms from another time, "Navy blue suits, white
shirts and ties" Ron Bartley's 18 piece orchestra brought
a bit of nostalgia and happy music to Ventura's swing fans last
night. Good tunes and a bit of call and answer with the audience
on songs like "Red Wine" kept the crowd jumping and
jiving and even dancing in the streets on occasion...Bartley's
unique vocals drew applause and added just the right touch to
the evening festivities.
